I wrote a couple of songs. Can I send them to anyone? As in, ya know, to sing?

If you are serious about a career in music, you need to join one of the professional groups such as the Musician's Union or American Society of Composers and Performers. There is also a student branch of the Music Educators National Conference.

Whatever you do, copyright them first. Don't send them to anyone until you do, so you have proof they are yours. You can do this on your own through the Library of Congress- they have a website, and there is a charge of some sort.
