Not really. It's just that men are more vulnerable to women then men.

I just wanted to come over here and plop myself down next to you and give you a great big mock hug...

I say a mock hug because I have the feeling that you too, like me, do not like to be touched much... and probably for all the same reasons.

Hug~ hug~ hug~

[Sings]... "I'm not touch-ing you." like a bored 5 year old on a long car trip.

and to answer your question... No! Men are pretty mean too. Hence the similarities between us that vary only in the gender of the parent who hurt us...

Hurt is hurt, love... It doesn't matter much who doll's it out in the end or who is better at it.

Even me, a tremendously callous notoriously stoic, mean hearted bi*tch, as the direct result of a man being rather vicious toward me...

Can still show kindness where it is merited and very VERY deserved considering..

Have a nice existence...

hug hug...

*Smiles...

I really don't think it has to do with gender. I am not mean I am very direct and honest, people (mainly men) confuse that with being mean. My brother is the same way. There are some strong people out there and some really insecure weak people. The weak have a hard time dealing with an honest answer if it has to do with them. Some people realize reality and the truth and others have a hard time realizing both of these because its not what they want to hear. Then you have people who are just cocky and have to be snooty and on a power trip. Lots of women think they are gods gift so they act so stupid but look so ridiculous.

Men can be more aggressive, likely thanks to testosterone. However women have this vicious and sadistic streak in them. Maybe part of it is the fact that men are more physical. Perhaps that physical release that men have gets it out and women just bottle it while the contrive nasty revenge schemes. I'm not saying this because I hate other women. Women honestly can be much more petty and cruel than men, however we also have much deeper desires to nurture and help as well. Maybe nature tried to strike a balance in us, and some just got the scales a lil tipsy.

gender technically has nothging to do with it.

although due to menstrual cycles women do tend to suffer from hormonial changes more often, this tends to make them "meaner" and grumpier.

personally, i believe in nuture over nature in the related psychological debate. this means that their genetics and biology have little to do with the outcome of the individuals personality, rather their experiences determine it.

Socially, yes. Though there are far less sadistic axe-murdering women out there who play with your bowels and make sweet love to your hollowed out skull... so violent crime is largely represented by men.

I think it has something to do with society frowning upon punching out a woman's lights when she runs her mouth insulting everybody visciously. Most men are immediately rectified of their unrestrained visciousness the very second somebody knocks their teeth in. Think about it... you can get slapped by a girl for saying something crude, but she can sleep with your best friend and you're not allowed to lay one finger on her?

I'm sick of all these questions! "Are all women evil?" "Are women meaner than man?" "Does women cheat first on their boyfriends?" What is this some kind of a mystical brotherhood? Where do you live guys? Haven't you ever met a good girl? I don't think so. There are only 2 reasons for asking question like this. 1st you are completely naive, 2nd you hate women. Get over it!

I am under the impression that women are less loyal than men, so they can be (didn't say ARE, said can be) prone to back biting.

No, not generally, but when they are they are really MEAN! I think men have the corner on 'mean' because it is often a testosterone deal.
