if you actually had a very early miscarriage? I mean, they say that 40-60% of all pregnancies miscarry and the mother never even knows she's pregnant. So maybe when we get these symptoms and then start and have a "heavy period" maybe it was actually a miscarriage. I was just thinking about that and wondered what you guys might think. Maybe we really aren't nuts with all the pregnancy symptoms that end with a period.

Never really thought of it that way. Thank God I never have any real heavy periods.

I've wondered about this also. I've had it happen to me a few time, and I thought I might be having a very early miscarriage. I think it happens to more women than we realize. Now with home pregnancy tests being accurate so much earlier than before, more women are going to know they are/were pregnant when that heavy period starts.

I guess I am not alone. This last cycle was like that for me. I had mild morning sickness for a few days. Then I cramped really bad for a day. The next morning I started really heavy with clotting. So maybe. I have miscarried in the past our one and only viable pregnancy. Since then, I have experienced this several times. On occasion, I would actually start 2 weeks late. So, maybe...

ahh yes ive thought about that plenty of times. When ever my period was just a few days late and then starts and has more tissue then normal i start to wonder if my PMS symptoms were really pregnancy symptoms. =/ deffanitly not looking forward to my period starting again

I've wondered this myself. Tender breasts, food cravings, whole 9 yards, and then it starts. I think you're right, but I'm no Dr.

you've got a great point there... i actually thought i might have been preggy... then i got my period... it's a hit or miss thing...
