Don't worry too much. They will assess you to figure out what they think is wrong with you. Just because you're going to talk to a professional, doesn't mean anything other than that. They use various standards to determine what is wrong, but anxiety attacks can be caused for many reasons, including stress and stressed adrenal glands. Just because you had a reaction to Effexor, which happens to a LOT of people doesn't mean anything huge either. Don't be afraid of their diagnosis. It's up to you to educate yourself in feeling better too. If you were experiencing anxiety attacks, just know that they are VERY common and can often be relieved in many ways and they don't all have to be medical.

Deep breathing is one of the BEST ways to relieve anxiety attacks and can save you from a lot of grief. Please check out Dr. Andrew Weil's website, in the section where it says 'learning the exercise', and practice it, while you are not having anxiety. You will notice how relaxed you feel. When you are experiencing an anxiety attack - just stop and do the exercise. http://www.drweil.com/drw/u/QA/QA330184/

Another way to alleviate the stress that causes the anxiety is to use EFT, which is the Emotional Freedom Technique. Check out this website - http://www.emofree.com/ and download the free manual. Practice that, as well.

If you find that you are feeling better, it could all be due to stress. The B vitamins can help a lot with this, as well.

There really isn't anything to be nervous about. I went to one not long ago for a depression problem. They started me out by having me fill out some paper work, then three or so multiple-choice type tests. NO WAY to fail them, because they ask you in various ways how you fell about life, the world around you, and yourself. When That was done, I visited with a DR (MD) that was a specialist in that sort of thing. That took about an hour. NO SWEAT. Good luck, and don't worry about it.

All crap, you shouldn't have taken her stuff in the first place. If you want to survive, you have to do so by yourself.
