There is a long established difficulty in defining an act of true altruism. Even the most selfless act of charity can be gratifying and thus have a benefit to the individual. Human beings are animals. Occasionally, viciousness and competitiveness are an evolutionary advantage. I think everyone has thoughts that are less than pure. This is natural. As long as you do not act on them, there is no harm. Perhaps one day will will have evolved beyond our animalistic traits, but that day has not arrived yet.

Yes is the answer but it all depends if we want to show this bit of personality.
There is no human alive that dont have this dark side.

of course we do. Most of us keep it at bay because we are fortunate in life....relatively speaking. We can never say never to anything because what drives a mind to anything has to be experienced....extreme examples would be the invasion by foreign troops or foe and the rape of your child in front of you or the murder of loved ones or extreme injustice......what tips a mind what makes our dark side active.....let's hope we never really find out?

yes, we all have dark sides, but it doesnt show in everyone...like serial kllers, theirs shows much more than a normal person. bt then again serial killers actually have something different with their brain so thats not exactly a good example

I'm afraid we all have one. Most of us completely ignore this side of their personality and they only find out in some difficult times of pressure.

Just like everyone is capable of killing.
It all depends on circumstance, the situation you find your self in and the state of mind you are at that moment.
