Are you just not aware of all the different hair textures out there, because honestly you can think that caucasian hair is the only straight hair but i know caucasuans who FLAT IRON their hair daily and have stingy or frizzy hair and some with unruly curls. Many other races have straight hair so why not say that black women are imitating them? but either way black women have many different hair textures. In my family we have straight and wavy hair, for mines to look straight i simply air dry it in a pony tail set and im out the door.i think we live in an age where people should be free to color cut, style their hair how ever they choose. their shouldnt be such a negative opionion on them. i in my view think of all hair is unique and suitable as long because it rather is clean and groomed. I had a pal who began using extensions in severe college and as quickly as I observed her the 1st time i became into like WOW, they did an outstanding interest. So do not enable dumb ignorant human beings make you experience undesirable. needless to say if "black female's" hair would be all nasty and nappy, you will in no way see White, Asian, or perhaps Latinas going for weaves and braids. :)

Probably because some of them haven't met many Blacks, and you're generalizing. I'm just curious why you are worried about what White people think of your hair.

I honestly don't think they sit around contemplating the texture of our hair .

Frankly, I think it's black "women" who obsess over the texture of hair. It's an insecurity thing.
