yes in the 1978 olympics the whole czech sync swim team died b/c one of them got in the pool right after eating.

Only in an officially judged synchronized swimming event are they obligated to drown if another member drowns. However, if anyone touches the bottom of the pool while drowning they will be disqualified. Death is no time to let the rules slide.

well it would be funny if they do, trying to synchronise drowning and scrambling for air, but then they would need a whole set of ambulances. I think the NHS should ask for new rules, so that they don't overstretch the ambulance service

Brings me back to my high school days - I had synchronized swimming in high school - hehe - a few friends and I swam to the William Tell overture! Loads of fun - much better than running or anything that might get us hit with a ball!

no.. they don't have to follow it's not as if they're all tied together to create some kind of chain reaction when something like that goes wrong. :D
