Because she's entertaining. Notice how some of the best voices in the world don't reach their full fame and financial potential. Its because they don't have that "it" hollywood requires. Look at Britney Spears or the Pussycat Dolls. You can tell me they have the voice skills of a Christina A. or Mariah C. But alas, they're entertaining.

She was a dancer first. She got her first big break as a Flygirl on "In Living Color" when another girl quit. Then her big acting break was playing the singer Selena in the movie about her life. I'll admit she was really good in that, so it was no wonder people thought she could act. But nothing she has done since then has been as good. She is "so popular" for the same reason lots of people are - a lot of studio work to make it sound like she can sing a helluva lot better than she actually can.

I consider Vampire Goddess. because of the fact Miley, for Me She seems Too pretend! each and all the skills She Has Is Getting wealthy off Her Father. it is the only reason He achieved That coach, Is To Make Her ordinary! have confidence Me, I had to Take My Little 2 Neices to one in each of Her concert activities, and finally We have been given in the back of the scenes Passes. She's So pretend! She Lipsynced the great Time! None of It replaced into actual! and she or he did no longer Even pick to work out, My females. She took One awful undesirable photograph & rather Scrbled On A Peice of Paper For Them, and then She pushed Them aside! To Be She Is the main important Ripoff That EVER Lived! i think of Selena is extra perfect!

First of all I love Jennifer Lopez...she is very talented and works hard for her money.I know their are better actresses out there but she has done some good movies like Selena,Wedding Planner,Enough those are to name a few and as far as her singing I like some of her songs.I think she's very smart and knows how to do things in that business....plus she is a great dancer!!!

I happen to think Jennifer Lopez is a very good actress. Not so hot for her singing but then again that's just a perk when your a HOT young actress! She deserves all of her popularity, she's worked hard.

I think she is a very beautiful lady and has a great booty. I think she just managed to get with the right person at the right time and the rest happened. Happens all the time in Hollywood.

Theres just something about her..shes uniquely beauty and yes dancing is what got her started she was very talented and that's how she got into the industry. Also, I personally love jennifer lopez's music and her movies!

she is ok at both.... she is popular as she is hot and has a diva attitude.... she's not the best singer and actress, but shes not the worse either.
