I wouldn't consider trash talking cheating at all! Trash talk just comes naturally whenever you are in a competitive situation where you are also at the same time physically exerting yourself. Trash talk is common in sports and I think whoever considers it cheating is such a wuss! Like honestly they should come and play a game of street hockey or something I would like to see them try and complain about players cursing and swearing at them LOL I'm SURE they would come to learn and understand that it comes naturally with sports and that's just the way it is.

In my opinion anyone who says cursing is cheating has quite obviously been overly sheltered from reality there whole life!! :D lol :D give me a break!

Good question.
Cheating in football actually means cheating the referee and the game. Players mostly cheat by diving and by accepting bribes. I still remember when Materazzi accepted a bribe from mpoli and scored an own goal for Empoli. It really is sad for the fans. And, diving, Its enough for the rival teams to mock at him & his fans.
Hitting a player without the referee's attention is also cheating. Most players retaliate when their oppposition does this. It is often common in CL games, recently Inter - Valencia and in derbies.
Another is when teams pay the referee. Juventus is a perfect example. You know more than me right, about that?
And times are there when referee's won't be able give the right decisions. They give a yellow for a red tackle and red for a yellow. Opponents often feel that this is cheating. Sometimes they won't be able give right decisions based on the offside line. The cambassio goal against valencia is actually against the rules. So I feel Valencia rightfully beat Inter.

Cheating is basically going against the rules. It can be in anyway.

What are you talking about Razgriz? That's not a scissors kick, that's just a sliding tackle. If you're trash talking to someone who has a hot temper and you are actually trying to goad him into a yellow card, then that is cheating. Also, diving can be cheating if you dive to get a foul called (especially in the box) or if you just roll around in agony and the other team puts it out of play.

Cheat:
To deceive by trickery; swindle.
To deprive by trickery; defraud.
To mislead; fool.
To act dishonestly; practice fraud.
To violate rules deliberately.

I changed my answer after looking this up. Diving is an example of cheating in football, because it is trickery, fraud, dishonest and it can be misleading.
