I don't think we ever will. We are like sheep's going to slaughter-following the leader to doom.

Americans are too free.

If you're some dumb, promiscuous girl, you'll just go on welfare, and be a burden to hard working taxpayers.

If you are some NAMBLA pervert, you just keep lusting after young boys and have the ACLU defend you.

If you're too lazy to work hard enough to get qualifying grades for a good college, you just claim some minority status.

If you want to bankroll your grief into 15 minutes of fame and get to be the "belle of the ball" at anti-war rallies (ala Cindy Sheehan), you just hurl invectives and slanderous accusations at the President. You'll get on tv, and have admirers wanting to take your foto.

I'm not free? And your basis for comparison is what? Let's examine this concept of not being free.

1. I can vote for whomever I want to or not vote if I don't want to. That sounds like freedom to me.
2. I can bash the president if I want to or not and not get thrown into prison for it. That sounds like freedom of speech to me.
2. I can worship any god that I want to. That sounds like freedom of religion to me.
3. I can protest in a peaceful assembly. That sounds like freedom of protest to me.
4. I can if I want buy a hand gun, rifle or shot gun for hunting or home defense if I want. That sounds like the right to bear arms to me.
5. I can travel to anywhere in the States and I don't have to get permission to do so. That sounds like freedom of travel to me.
6. I can live in what ever state I darn well please and not require permission to do so. That sounds like freedom to me.
7. I can work in any job that I am qualified for. That sounds like freedom to me.
8. I can go to college and get a higher education to qualify for better paying jobs. That sounds like freedom to me.
9. I can go into business for my self and earn a fortune if I am lucky and smart enough. That sounds like freedom to me.
10. I can buy anything that is legal to own as long as I have the money for it. That sounds like freedom to me.

I'm sorry I can't find a single instance were I am not free. So why should I revolt? I think I will exercise one of my freedoms and say get a life.

We are free to cast our ballots. Unfortunately, about 50% of our citizins do not vote. You can change things when you vote. If you don't, you have no moral right to complain.

The following answer was given in present time:

Let me tell you this, i fight terrorists everyday to make certain that you are still alive. You need to realize that this world is filled with evil people out to kill America and that sometimes we must due extremes to keep our country safe. If that means making it seem like you are not as free as you once were-so be it.

Conservatives won't because they love the USA and Dems won't because they are to lazy to do so and they could no longer collect unemployment since no one in their "new union" works .

I don't know what your problem is, but I am free. The fact that you can post this on an open forum disproves your assertion.
