I have no trouble creating rules for incoming mail but would like to cc someone on all sent messages without having to manually type it in every time.

Yes, you can. Go to the rules wizard and start with a blank rule. First condition: From people or distribution list. Choose to you at the from person (next). Next condition: Forward it to people or distribution list. Choose the person your want to send it to (next).

Add any exceptions you want....

Then name and run the rule.

I don't think it's smart to auto CC someone, what if you sent one you didn't want him/her to see and you forgot the auto CC???
