Most physicists subscribe to a theory called super symmetry, which in a nutshell says that for every particle there will be an anti-particle. Unfortunately, these same physicists have been unable to experimentally find a lot of the theoretical anti-particles.

One reason these physicists hold onto super symmetry is that it makes solving some of their complex equations easier. This results because often the equations for the anti particle are easier to solve than for the particle. Then they simply transform the anti particle results to the particle. They do this even though the anti particle may not really exist anywhere except in their own fertile minds. Check this out:

"There is considerable speculation both in science and science fiction as to why the observable universe is apparently almost entirely matter, whether other places are almost entirely antimatter instead, and what might be possible if antimatter could be harnessed, but at this time the apparent asymmetry of matter and antimatter in the visible universe is one of the great unsolved problems in physics. Possible processes by which it came about are explored in more detail under baryogenesis." [See source.]

Matter . Antimatter causes annihilation of matter resulting very high energy gamma rays which could not be observed so far.

it is both ....bcoz duh'uh ..ever heard of anti-matter bombs ..they are not manufactured yet butwould be in 50-60 yrs.when mat-antimat collide they bomb a place like an atom bomb.ever heard of +electron.it is here .ever heard of -proton .it is here .if you still have doubts pz contact me & i will give you a good lecture.

of course this universe (at least this part ) is matter. its all matter as far as we have seen. or else some traces of annhilation would have been found

Matter.

Because of symmetry breaking.

Reason for symmetry breaking not yet known.
