I don't wear white shirts a lot, but when I do I always wonder if the outline of any kind of undershirt is taboo or something.

it depends on the situation. If you're going for a job interview or a business setting, then you do not want it to show at all, and you should have the shirt neatly tucked in. if you're just going to hang out with friends or on a casual date, then two to three buttons open and shirt untucked is ok.

YEAH , YOU CAN DO THAT BUT NOT TOO MUCH OF THE WIFEBEATER SHOWING. MAYBE LIKE TWO OR THREE BUTTONS UNDONE.
