You could always stop off at Don Garlits drag racing museum at Exit 341 on I-75. From there you can stop at the forestry Museum in Perry on US 19/98.

If you really want to spend some time, stop at UF in Gainesville. You could spend several days here. They do have a great Natural History museum.

If you have a cassette or DVD player, you can get some age-appropriate kids audio-books/tapes. You can certainly buy them, but also most libraries have a good audiobook section. Typically, you can check them out for at least a couple of weeks.

Tip: Get more than you think you will need, just in case one or two of them turn out to be duds.

take No-Doze, put in earplugs, get a DVD player, Xanax and travel at night so they are asleep and avoid South of the Border at all costs unless you like cheap lawn ornament crap, fireworks and getting mugged
