We used to put toys just out of arm's reach. We did that though when they seemed close to crawling. Like up on hands and knees, maybe even some rocking back and forth. My first two didn't crawl until about 7 months, my third was just after 6 months. If you haven't already tried get down on the floor with him. Lay him on a colorful blanket or a play mat that has sensory items on it, that may help to keep his interest while doing tummy time.

He will crawl on his own, don't worry. Every child is different. My son only started crawling at around 11 months, and walking at 13 months. I have always heard that boys usually develop a bit slower than girls when it comes to these things.

He'll be crawling before you know it!

I wish I had better advice for you on this one. My son did the Army crawl until he was almost 11 months. Then one day, he popped up and crawled. That lasted a couple weeks and then he was walking. Good luck.

Not all babies will crawl. My kid's pediatrician said they don't even look for it as a required developmental step anymore. He'll crawl when he's ready. 6 months is still kinda early to be expecting it. My son crawled at 9 months, walked at 10 months.

some babies don't crawl they just decide to walk. My son is almost 7 months old and he hasn't started crawling yet. I put him on his stomach and put a toy in front of him to try to entice him to crawl.

My brother only crawled (army crawled) for a couple weeks before he started walking

When you place him on his stomach place toys in a circle that he loves within an arms' reach.
Show him how by moving his legs like a frog on his knees.
Maybe his knee hurt put socks ever his knees.
No not all children crawl, some stand before and don't like to crawl and just start walking and cruising.
Children also crawl is different ways. My 1st crawwl normal. 2nd did this scoot w/ one leg. 3rd drag herself everywhere.
Give it time

Some babies never crawl they just start to walk. My sister's baby used to just lay there and she would never crawl we tried everything and then she started pulling herself up to stand, and one day she just started to walk. My daughter crawled for a long time then started to walk. But there is nothing you can really do to urge them because he was just walk and forget all about crawling. Good Luck.

not all babies crawl before they walk, they dont have to, u shud only start worrying about your baby walking when he turns one.

if u really want, err, u can try making him crawl by putting his fave toy faraway and telling him to go get it, or u can put ur arms out and tell him to follow or do it with baby food or sumfin.

or u can go and buy a babywalker, that will get him energetic and he will start walking in no time (which is better than crawling)

hope i helped, good luck!

you put him on the floor and lay down with him a few feet away and get him to come to you or hold a favorite toy to get him to come get it. The first time my daughter crawled was to a 20 dollar bill. I have known some babies to walk first instead of crawling.

Not all children crawl before they walk. My daughter didnt crawl she just walked and then began to crawl. Try standing him up against the sofa, or holding his hands and walking him around may be that will urge him to start. Good Luck!
