Does it frustrate you when you read a question that makes you want to shake some sense into the person because you cannot believe people are truly that stupid, 15 other people agree with you and flame the asker, only to have the asker give a "Best Answer" to some equally insipid moron with no morals or ethics? It seems like they really really want a particular answer to a question they've already decided what the answer should be. 99.999% of the responders call the person a dumb butt, and that one person gives the way off the wall answer and then supposedly "validates" the askers position. Does the asker feel vindicated because someone else is as stupid as they are?

Taking it to the extreme, an example of the behavior i list above is like: "Duh, ok, well I robbed this bank, like a year ago and well, they really deserved it because they charged me $25 when I bounced those 5 checks. Should I get in trouble for this?" and then 100 people respond that "yes, you moron, you should go to jail, not only for robbing the bank, but for generally being a piece of crap in the first damn place." and then this one bright shining star responds "oh, man, you were so right to rob that place because they were robbing you first" or some equally stupid response. The next thing you know, bang, its the "Best Answer" with a line fromt he asker like "Thanks dude, that's what I thought but I thought I'd ask" SHEESH!!!

Whew! Gosh, do you feel better now? Inhale....Exhale...repeat....

If I agree with you does that make the validity of your question null? ;)

I do agree and I think people are searching for the very thing you mention. I will say I have asked questions on here and chosen the best answer, I didn't like it; but hey! I DID chose to ask and I felt that for the future person referencing same issue I was that it would be more beneficial for them...and frankly---truth hurts.

I think people ask questions like that to get a rise out of people as well. I wouldn't worry too much about it. As long you know your own morals and that you do not agree with some of the weirdos out there, then getting a 'best answer' is not that important.

Do you want me to answer honestly or validate what you think?. Doesnt everyone want to be validated?. I bet even you pick someone as best answer that agrees with you, its just human nature.
