The written test was 150 questions, which I passed without issue, including the question about "which way to you turn the wheel when trying to back a trailer into......" - by the way I have never attempted this in real life ever. The driving test I failed the first time because it was rush hour, the speed limit was 45, and I was only going 43 -per the instructor "driving too slow could cause an accident". I had to retake the test.

Failed it the first time. I got nervous. When he asked me to make a left turn (this is in the u.s., btw), I hesitated because I saw a car in the distance. Then I realised he might fail me for not turning when I should, so I decided to turn, but when the car was a lot closer and I shouldn't have.
Then when I took it again, I took my friend who was a cop as a chaperone. Since the test was administered by a cop, they had so much to talk about they basically just had me roll around the block a few times while they swapped stories then passed me. Easiest test ever!

I was doing great then it came to the parallel parking.
Some how I managed to get my Ford Granada wedged between the cement curbs. When I straightened it out and got out to look half of the car was on the road and half was in the grass with the curb under the car. I couldn't get it back totally on the road so my instructor tried - no luck. It had to get towed to get it out.
