I've heard about reps for differnt areas and they go out and promote upcoming albums at clubs and other events. i wouldn't mind doing that even if it was for free.

If your talking up and coming artists like the young lady said above. If it's big signed artists your talking about that takes years and getting a reputation thats real good. Otherwise try myspace alot of the artists have street tam members like she said you can become one and or contact that artist. Thats how we started promoting for some artists that we play and promote

You're talking about being a Street Team member. Look for the artist's website, or the label's website - see if there's any listing to become a Street Team Member - if not, try the "CONTACT" link and see if you can start a street team.
