This method is a myth. You can get pregnant any day so always use some form of contraception, preferably condoms as they also provide protection against STIs.

There are no safe days. Most months you will ovulate once and the egg will live for 2-3 days. This can happen at any time during your cycle, even when you are having your period. Additionally sperm can live for 1-2 days within the vagina. This gives you 3-5 days during a normal month you can become pregnant. However, you can ovulate more than once a month (fraternal twins if the ovulation is close in dates). People claim to have come up with charting methods, but I would be very skeptical. I don't know about you, but I haven't met anyone who can predict the future completely accurately all the time. (Since sperm can live for days you need to know when in the future you will ovulate.) Additionally, pre-ejaculate contains sperm and he may not always withdraw in time. Even sperm on your upper thighs and outer lips can get into the vagina. They are very determined little guys. If you want an effective method you must either abstain or use condoms in conjunction with another method such as pills or IUD.

A women can only get pregnant about 5 days a month. The best way to predict which days these are is to use a charting method. Read the book Taking Charge of Your Fertility by Toni Weschler for more information

NONE.

You must be kidding. The "withdrawal" method is a joke. You can get pregnant just as easily...even if he "withdraws."

Please do not rely on this as a method of "birth control". It is not. The pre-ejaculatory fluid is full of millions of active sperm. If you are not wanting to be pregnant then please do something that is truly effective @ preventing it.
