when he is on his hands and knees, put his favorite toy just out of his reach and help him move his arms towards it. he will get it eventually, my son is 10 months also and doesnt crawl.. he just pulls himself with his arms. believe it or not, but some babies skip crawling and go to walking first.

My son is 7 months old and he started crawling at 6 months old. What is did honestly is sit with him on the floor and play with him. Put your son on the floor and place a bunch of toys around him. He is 10 months old he should be able to grab the toys. Is he walking yet? Because if he walks and his instrest in crawling is very little. Good luck!

My daughter didn't start crawling until three days after her first birthday. She was, according to the doctors, just lazy. That, in part, was my fault because I did everything for her. If you are like I was, stop! Let him do things for himself. Put his bottle out of reach. Get behind him and let him use your hands for leaverage. Remember though, babies do this in their own time so this could just be a simple case of.. he's not ready. He'll surprise the heck outta you one day when suddenly, he's across the room like a flash. It happens just that fast. So, don't worry, he isn't delayed. He's just being a baby and taking his sweet time!

What my sister tried with my nephew is she stood a certain just so far out of his reach when he got on his hands and knees and held out something she knew he would want. Eventually to get the object that he wanted he moved towards her. She of course encouraged him the whole way. This might work for you. Let me know if it does.

try putting a ball in front of him so that when he touched it it rolls away from him encouraging him to crawl to go and get it. Also putting him around other kids that can crawl or walk usually gives them motivation as well "monkey see monkey do"

Put a toy just out of his reach and hopefully that will encourage him.

you can't really encourage him, i know because i have five sisters and two brothers. he'll start to crawl when he's ready, so don't push it, you'll only frustrate yourself!
