Haven't there been pivotal moments in history where if it wasn't for white people then other races wouldn't have it so good? Like for example, the Africans. Wasn't it white people that fought and died for legislation to let them be free? Wasn't it a white leader who paved the way? So minorities think that if it wasn't for white people THEY would have come here and founded the country? They would have fought the British in the war of independance? The Africans would have defeated Hitler? Shouldn't the minorities be breathing a sigh of relief instead of crying for more wages, college placement, jobs, etc. and claiming that they are discriminated against and that if it wasn't for white people they could live better? I'm no expert in history, but it doesn't take an expert to see these things either.

Why not ignore racism? React to it if it effects you, but if it doesn't, don't.

No expert in deed.

You are first assuming that the "minorities" would choose to have left Africa in the first place. Their ancestors were dragged here against their will and lived in servitude. And the answer isn't "go back to Africa" because they are now Americans.

You are failing to recognize that the greatest civilizations in the world, and those that have acheived the greatest things, were not only European. Egypt and Zimbabwe both had thriving empires. Baghdad was a maginicent city. And let's not even talk about how the Chinese invented everything before the Europeans!!!

Don't be so narrowminded. There is no correlation between a the lack of skin pigment and IQ.

We've done quite a bit to plunder and ruin Africa. White Man's Burden is a bogeyman most of the world has laid to rest, thankfully. Why haven't you?

As for "grateful", you have just contradicted the founding fathers, who believed that rights were inalienable, meaning nothing you could do could justify depriving someone of those rights.

Wait, so there were no Africans/African-Americans or other minorities fighting in those wars or serving the ones who did? Funny, I've never heard that before. I'm not black, but I'm not white, either, and whether you agree or not, discrimination does still exist in various forms. It goes all ways, though, as there are plenty of white-haters as well. I can see your point, but it's a bit harsh when you ask minorities to "breathe a sigh of relief" because the white man has historically saved the day.

Ungrateful for what?
For having to fight for all their freedoms, for being treated as second class citizens, for being discriminated against for something they have no control over (skin color).
If minorities hadn't been brought down by whites, YES they may have accomplished a lot of the things you mentioned, and by the way many blacks have been very fundamental in the unity, prosperity and freedoms of this country.
Put away the hood and jump into the year 2007.

The sacrifices that the few made for the many!

First hand accounts of life on the front!

My Grandfather and my Great Uncle served in WW1. My Grandfather was wounded in a battle in France. He spent the rest of his life in a Veterans Hospital on Christie Street in Toronto, until he past away in the early 1960s.

Thank you very much for your question!

Black africa was 1000 years behind the techonology of europe at the time of the first european exploration of africa. Had europeans never encountered the african it is doubtful that africans would have any modern convienences at all. In america, blacks should be grateful that they are in the USA and not some african country where the nearest telephone is ten miles away and the ruler of the village is the man with the machine gun.

you truly are a ignorant racist! If it weren't for whites there wouldn't of been a hitler to fight nor the british to fight, they needed the legislation to protect them from white south africans. you are very uneducated and it shows, you and your race are not better your race is equal but you are useless and unneeded

Ungrateful for what... being treated as 2nd class citizens? For whites being afraid of them and crossing the street to avoid them? Yeah , ungrateful...thats it.

clearly you are right and black people should thank the whites for enslaving them. and natives should gift the whites a huge gift for stealing their land.
