Being referred to as "Ms Thing" as about as impersonal as you can get. You are not a "thing", you are a person.He had the opportunity of asking you" I'm so sorry but I don't know your name"and not refer to you as an object. I not only would be insulted, I would be furious. You have to be careful with what you "catch". As an avid fisherman, I often thew back into the ocean a fish that just didn't look right. Sounds to me that "this good catch" is about as rude as they come.

its not an insult. the term ms. thing is really like a type of personality in a good way take it as a compliment
