Some ladies smell like they used the whole bottle on themselves. Its difficult to breathe in their presence. And it must be the older types of perfume because its too sweet smelling and strong. On the other hand how do I tell a woman she smells good without seeming like I'm coming on to her. White Shoulders makes me want to bite someone while others just smell nice and refreshing. I followed a lady around the store today(at a distance of course) just to smell her perfume. I'd like to be able to tell women like that just how good they smell without being crude about it. Help!

I know what you mean about using too much perfume. Especially the flowery kind. ICK! If it's someone you know, just casually say "hey, I like your perfume. It's nice on you." If you want to say it to someone that you don't know...Hmm...tricky. Personally, because I'm a teenage girl and have my guard up around guys I don't know in public places (stores, airports, etc), I would probably be a little iffy about a guy telling me my perfume smelled good. But if he was cute and said it in a nice tone and not creepy and stalkerish, I wouldn't mind so much. So I guess if it's to someone you don't know, then just be careful how you say it. Hope this helps.

I used to work with a woman who used probably 1/2 a bottle of strong, expensive perfume to cover up her underarm smell. I could tell because the odor still came through. Poor woman.

Some guys wear too much cologne too. I hate it when people where too much smelling stuff. It can be nausiating. Well, why don't you just ask a woman "I love the scent you're wearing! What is it?" I've seen people ask this without being crude or intrusive.

Yes, I feel the same way about men. Some guys bathe in their cologne and I'm tempted to inform them that a couple of squirts of cool water is not an acceptable substitute for a 2 minute shower with soap and water.

my sister's friend wore way too much perfume -- couldn't stay in the same room as her -- and the scent lingered long after she left --
