You'll need to know exactly when your last period started. For instance, a person with a last menstrual period that began 12/18 would be due 9/24. There are a myriad of pregnancy calculators on the internet.

there is always ultrasound devices too because i also wasn't for sure... www.pregnancy.about.com have some wonderful stuff and calculators you can use... Remember the day the baby is conceived *( the day you had sex and became pregnant )* that day you are already 2 weeks pregnant... They go by the first day of your last menstral period. Most woman are fertile two weeks AFTER their period... So then when your period comes and you dont start *( and you haven't had a period for 28 days )* you are already 4 weeks pregnant! its hard to believe I know.... keep in mind the weeks they go by also... Like january had almost 5 weeks... yet feb has 4 weeks but december once again also had 31 days....
GOOD LUCK!

Your due date is calculated from the first day of your last period. So if they say you're four weeks pregnant, that's including the first day of your last period up until the day you actually conceived. Your due date is 280 days (40 weeks) from the first day of your last period. However, the due date is only an estimate. A normal, full-term pregnancy is considered anywhere from three weeks before your due date to two weeks after.

i'm going through the same thing hunny. the first day of my last period was december 8th. the doctors are trying to say that i am 12 weeks. like 3 months. i know that aint right though. i didnt have my period in january or february only. but if you count the days starting with the first day of your last period it will tell you how many weeks. but also like counting from the exact dates like from dec 8 to jan 8 is one month and from jan 8 to feb 8 is 2 months, and so on. its kinda hard to tell. pretty much the only time you can tell is when you have the baby.

You conceived two weeks after the FIRST day of your last period. So go to your calendar and see when you had your last period count two weeks from the start of that and you have your date of conception +/- a day. Then you start counting the weeks from that conception date.
Congrats ;o)

Doctors know and they caluate when your last period was. It a time period and my sister got pregnant in december and she going to have her baby in september. Make sure you do check ups and take vitamins and if your are drink or smoking quit now because it can hurt your baby. Maybe you should take to your doctor and see how they figure it out.

it is possible that you were pregnant earlier than you thought and sometimes you still get some bleeding evern if you are pregnant that first month. The doctors are estimating you know.
