Hmmmm...this one is hard, I am tempted to say both, but you want to know which one sucks more. I guess I am going to have to say the fans. They are really obnoxius and I can't stand them, get over the ring count already! How about some thing more recent, like being the biggest folders in history when the Red Sox took four in a row when they were down 0-3. Please keep in mind, once a player puts on the pin stripes, they have crossed into the evil empire. Go Sox!

Good question. But why worry about it. By chanting "Yankees Suck" you can piss off both the team and their fans.
Side note to Yankee fans, don't show up in Yankee gear at Fenway on days when the Yankees are not in town and expect a free pass. Everyone will let you know what they think of your team.

Yankee fans are the worst fans ever. I don't really mind the Yankees players since it's their jobs and we all have jobs.

I would have to guess that their fans do simply because of the numbers. If there are even 50 different players and coaches in the Yankee uniform this year, it would be surprising. But there are many times that many fans, so the odds are that the fans will suck more than the team.
As far as percentages, that is a whole nother question that I am not in a position to evaluate.

Definately the fans. The players are all good guys who play hard (except for Giambi, who cheats).
The fans are aweful. They feel it's their God-given right to make the playoffs, are arrogant as all hell, and poke fun at other fans because they haven't won 26 championships.
I think in my entire life I've met one normal Yankee fan who takes things in stride. Everyone else is just a jerk.

They suck equally. The fans because they boo their own players when they are the ones under the pressure. The Yankees because they made the cave man cut his hair and they suck miserably.
