His faith would make absolutely no difference. That doesn't mean I will vote for him, I need to learn more about him, but his faith will have no bearing on my decision.

Mormon, I don't know if it will hurt him in the economy but I don't think he is even in the race. I heard this is just chatter that he paid people to go to the straw vote and vote for him. The straw vote they had before Bill Frist won that and look where he is in Tenn, living in the White House he built after he won that straw vote. I am not a Republican and I will admit he is the best looking Republican I have ever seen the race but he chances of becoming nominee for President is not very good.

What difference does it make? One's religion is a personal matter. As long as Mr. Romney keeps it that way and doesn't try to shove his religion down the throats of others he should be fine from that perspective.
Why would it hurt the economy. Do you think everything is going to go to Massachusetts or Utah?

I'm actually more concerned that Mitt Romney is Governor of a state trying to institute a socialist Universal Healthcare program than I am about his religion. Religion has little effect on a person's opinions on economic matters; rather it has more to do with their opinions on social matters.

Why would it hurt the economy? I think the average american thinks the president has more control over anything than he really does. I can't believe some of the stuff I read on this site, scares me.

Would it matter if our president was a "Mormon"? What, are you worried that we could potentially have a president that values things like family integrity, self sufficiency, kindness and generosity? "Oh no, perish the thought that somebody with a spine and that has moral integrity take office!"

How would it hurt our economy? I like Mitt myself. He'll more than likely get my vote.
