anybody know anything better then maple bacon and saucecake for breakfast? i cook the bacon firs and then fry the cake in the bacin grease, just like gramma. sometimes i put egg on top. english muffn is good 2 when u butter and fry in the leavins, than make a samwich. anyone half a better recipe?

saucecakes--i didnt know that was a southern thing only. may be they called something different other place. its just pancake with wit little less water and some 7 up instead. 7 up makes it fluffylike, but dont use 2 much or they 2 thick an dont get don.

also dont want anyone to think is ignorant--saucecake dont go in the samwich, they stay on the plate like side meat

I'm all over the maple bacon, but I don't know what a sauce cake is.

What I do is cook hashbrowns in a little of the bacon grease and butter, seasoned with a little Old Bay and some Lawry's. And then onion added at the end.

And of course scrambled eggs with Laughing Cow spreadable swiss cheese.

Then I have to eat up some refried beans for my husband.

Oh, you've made me hungry.

that sounds very good. i dont know how to make that. sounds like a southern thing

Sounds great but the fat and cholesterol is way too high.
