Any guy who loves and respects his spouse should have no problem refraining from cheating. All potential cheaters have to do, is, wonder what it would be like to come home their spouse being working over by a person of the opposite (or same) sex. If they get a guilty feeling, they have to know their spouse would feel the same way.
I never have cheated (after 22 years) and never would do it. Even if a guy got into a close situation (should never be there in the first place), has the option of calling it quits before anything actually happens. Once a spouse crosses the line, it's over, the trust is gone. I could never live without the trust.

The same thing could be said about women if you have a cynical mind. It comes down to the way they are raised and the values that are instilled in them. Not all men have the capability to cheat nor desire to. There are many men and women that are honest, caring, compassionate, and faithful. The problem is most people today seek a physical connection first and assume an emotional connection will follow. If they would reverse that action there would probably be more lifelong happy marriages and less kids growing up in broken homes.

Of course every guy is capable of cheating, just like every woman is capable of cheating. At some point, you either have to choose to believe your future mate and trust that they will honor that commitment and vow, or you need to stay single. The worst thing you can do, is get married to someone and always have in the back of your mind that they are going to cheat on you at some point in time. Many people never cheat, that is not because they are not capable of it, but they choose to stay true to the one they married.

Sure, every guy is capable... As is every woman. Whether or not they choose to act on this capability is another story. There are people who cheat, there are people who don't. Most of the ones who don't are "capable", but for whatever reason they refrain from doing so.

Every guy is not perfect but some of us are different than others. I know it would be impossible for me to ever cheat on my girlfriend because she is the most amazing and the best person I've ever met, but after saying all that I will say that every guy has temptations, its just a matter of how well he stands against them.

Everyone is capable but there are a few of us who
are committed and for that sole reason capable or
not has no value. I have been committed with love
and respect for my wife of 20yrs and even though
I have had approaches my wife is my priority in
life and I would do nothing to hurt or disrespect
her because she is that good to me. Best feeling
ever in life when someone reach's that point.

We are all capable of cheating, but when you appreciate what you have. When you love someone, you don't take them for granted! Cheating is choice that one makes, with a clear understanding of what they are doing. A real man won't cheat on his wife.

I feel that as humans we all can be tempted and are not perfect at times HOWEVER if you vow in your heart to not yield to the tempation or give into it you will not cheat if you dont want to. It is all about choices. A man and a woman have to make the right choices no matter what comes at them at life. Some people can turn away and not do things and others are not that strong.

I never thought I'd be capable of cheating and I did it once. It's a mistake that anyone, man or woman, can make.

Cheating is not a gender flaw, it is a character flaw. Men and women are equally capable of cheating. I am a woman, and have cheated, and I was one of those that said i would never do that. My husband has cheated, too, and he was one that said he would never do that. My husband and I obviously suffered a severe lapse in judgement and had bad character during our moments of weakness.
