It's not insulting though. I don't use any of those abbreviations since I think I've outgrown that type of thing and also so more people will understand what the heck I'm saying. I'm a mom and it would just sound funny coming from me. I just can't and won't do it. I'm 38, so there!!! It doesn't bother me for the most part but I wish people would at least preview what they write and see if it makes any sense. Spell check would be nice too.... Just a thought.....

I do not have an authoritive answer, but i read african american
blogs and thought it meant "lord oh lord" the colloquial expression
of what white folks might say "holy moses" or "golly" to mean.
Then I read on the internet that it means "laugh out loud."
I don't buy it because brothers and sisters don't say that in conversation...why would they use it heavily on the internet?
You could as well say it means "lust on line!" haha!
But I like the first explanation best, as that is where I encountered
it. You can choose your own if you wish, i guess.
Unless someone can cite where and when this came into
being and how...that is with what authority...I'll wait and read
more soon....peace...

For the opposite sex it's Lots Of love.
Bloke to bloke it is lots of luck.
I also use HTH (hope this helps!) quite alot too. Saves a lot of typing at the time!
