I'm in my 40's, married a long time, happily mostly, and now divorced. I dated a few women, and slept with them, following the divorce. Then I met a guy, and, he asked to sleep with me, and, I did. He is quite nice, sophisticated, masculine, and, I did not realize he was gay until he asked to sleep with me. I loved the sex with him, really loved it. I never have really looked at other guys or have ever felt myself gay. But now, naturally, I am wondering. What is going on here?

Life is a journey. Sometimes we live a while before we start down a path that takes us to a destination, one of which we were unaware we wanted to visit. Once there, we can discover new experiences that enrich our lives.

I believe that - for now - you found something in this man that filled a need, whether it was physical, emotional, or spiritual. You have discovered that enjoyment, pleasure, and happiness is not dictated by another person's gender.

What is going on here? You are discovering there are more options in life than you once believed.

What's going on here, indeed! Well- you might be Bi, or you might be gay.... but you ain't straight. So that narrows the field a little.
But do you need to define yourself in your 40's? You had a good time. I think that is all I would say bout it for now, until you see what else is happening. BTW, when I was 16 I was boinking my GF like crazy, and I had a GREAT time... things change if your open to them. (no pun intended)

Don't bother defining yourself.

You're a free agent and open to experience. You could be bi, you could even be gay and have suppressed it for all those years and women.

Enjoy the ride - you already have :) - life has to offer. That's what counts.

You may be bi. There is nothing wrong with that. Let yourself experiment.

It could be a one time fling (to satisfy your curiosity) or you could be Bisexual.
