I would like to name my first born son Niklas, but my first born daughter is Natalia, pronounced Na-tall-ya, if pronouncing it makes any difference should i think of another name for him?

It doesnt sound alike. When theyre older people might point (not in a mean way) and say "Hey both of your names start with N!" I have a friend named Sharon and her brothers name is Aaron... funny isn't it?

I think they sound great together. When I named my children, I said their names out loud many times to make sure they didn't sound "funny" when I said them together. There were certain names I liked, but that didn't sound right with the others. The only thing I would watch for when using these two name is if the children are very, very close together in age, they will probably get a lot of "Are you twins?" If they are 2 years or more apart, this won't be a problem. Good luck and congrats on your baby boy!

Go ahead and name your son Niklas, people will be calling him Nik his whole life anyway. I don't think the names sound that close.

They don't sound the same... the only thing they really have in common is that they both start with N.
