In the UK at least no steroids can or should be available without a doctor's prescription. Unfortunately the net, which I love using, has however made a mockery of this.

It is fascinating to read the reassurances that there are no risks from anabolic steroids, displayed on sites that sell them. They have presumably never had a relative have an early stroke or heart attack.

Side effects of anabolic steroids include : raising blood pressure, raising cholesterol, (both of which increase cardiovascular disease), physical damage to the heart itself, premature baldness, liver damage, he formation of breast tissue in males, liver damage, impotence, shrinking of the testicles and infertility. Women can become hairy, develop a deep voice, and growth can be stunted in adolescents.

So if you would like to spend your life as a short bald guy with small testicles, boobs and impotence who has an heart attack, this is the way for you!

They aren't safe at all. If you are a dude your testis shrink and something called gynecomastia takes place. This means you get boobies. The reason you don't see the guys in weight lifting magazines and such have these is the magic of editing and airbrushing. If you are a girl its likely that your breasts wont develop or will shrink, your voice deepens, and body hair grow thicker and darker. In essence dudes become girls and girls become dudes. This is because steroids have put more testosterone in your body. You probably wonder why it would make a dude a chick then right? Well its because if your body gets an over load of testosterone it is converted to estrogen. And therefore a women who takes steroid becomes manly because she has excessive testosterone in her body. Those are just the side affects. When you take these supplements you build up muscle but the second you stop that muscle easily can break down and turn into fat. Its been seen on many occasions. You also have to deal with the fact that its just unnatural. You may look like a big buff athlete or what ever you want but in reality you are just a wussy that is faking it. You want to earn it. Lastly most girls don't like overly buff guys. Too much muscle can be a turn off. There is a happy medium with it and it can be easily reached naturally. So if you like your wiener or boobies, don't do it!

This is dependant upon what you are using them for and how long you use them. If you are using steroids for about 10 days or so under the supervision of your doctor, this causes no problems. However, if you are injecting or orally taking steroids because you are trying to mass build your body, this is not wise. This can be very dangerous because it can mess up t he strength of your bones in the long run.

All chemicals, pills and medications make your liver week. I think the only case where steroids could be used would be if you had cancer. Sometime people have to chose between something that could be damaging in one way, or death by cancer.
