Depends on the book or the company for the movie. If it's my husband - I'll take dinner and a movie. But most of the time, I would just prefer to sit with a good book and a nice cup of tea. If you're asking which would I prefer - the book or the movie made about a book...always the book...book is always better than the movie.

Dinner AND a movie, what did I do to deserve that? Can we burn the book afterwards and snuggle up together by the fire place?

love both options, but that depends on my mood, time and day.
for instance a monday morning I prefer a good book, a saturday night I love to have dinner and then a movie.
