Sounds like your baby has fully dropped. The pressure is from it's head pushing on your pelvis, bladder, etc. It's completely normal. Just try to rest as much as possible.

It could be Braxton Hicks contractions or your baby is just putting pressure on your pelvic area. Lots of women get this pain. I am 39.5 weeks along and have been having huge pelvic pain for about 7 weeks now. The baby's head is settling and is probably irritating the area. Some people get a sciatica, some just in the groin area.

I had this about a week ago too. I swore that night I was going into labor soon because of all the pains. Your baby is just making his/ her way down the birth canal. Take some Tylenol as long as you dr allows and it will relieve it some.

Call your doctor. S/he should be able to help you figure out what's going on. Are you having contractions? Thirty-seven weeks is considered a full-term pregnancy, so if you are in labor, be thankful you're not 10 days past your due date, which I was with both my kids! Good luck!
