No. Actually most people think that foundation is used to cover up blemishes or skin flaws. Really foundation is the 5th step in skin care. 1) Cleanse 2) Exfoliate 3) Freshen 4) Moisturize 5)Protect

The foundation protects our skin from environmental polutants. We spend so much time taking care of our skin by cleansing and moisturizing, the foundation actually is used to seal the vitamin in and block the pollutants out (kind of like a shield.)

I had no Idea this was true until I started doing Mary Kay. I have been teaching skin care now for almost 3 years. The key to foundation is finding the perfect shade (you match the foundation to neck and not face). There are definitely other perks to foundation, such as hiding blemishes or skin imperfections as well as evening out skin tones!! So don't be afraid to find a great foundation and use it.

No its not very harmful, but if you were to apply then you need to make shore u take extra care of your skin, make shore to clean your skin before you go to sleep and when you wake up. Foundation can tend to clog your pores where it can create pimples, but now adays they have foundation that is good for the skin to prevent break outs, but i would still take extra cleaning care of the skin, because your apply a substance that is layered over your skin, and your skin needs to breath, so just make shore you find the right foundation that is good for your skin, and make shore your skin isnt to sensitive for foundation

No, good foundation (applied on clean skin, and removed adequately before sleeping) can only protect your skin

I wouldn't say harmful but if you don't need it don't wear it. It can clog your pores up and cause spots and also can help towards wrinkles. I discovered that and have stopped wearing it, instead just wearing a skin cream which brightens my skin up.
