It was clever how you framed your question with "Iraq civil war". Why do I smell a rat? Could it be that you are a Lib in sheep's clothing? Also your statistics are suspicious. (Only 10%). HUH?
Actually it is the "Iraq war". And you could skew a poll as simply as this. "Do you think the war in Iraq is going badly because there are starving children world wide"? Or, do you think the war in Iraq is going better because the Republicans will never feed those children?
I also like the way you added the 46% and the 41% To show 87% didn't like the way the war was going and only 10% Like the way it's going.
We all know that the Liberal media is sabotaging the war.
And to think they have "mental giants" like you to help brain wash the public.

If polls mean nothing, then I guess we can conclude that 100 % of Americans think that the conflict in Iraq has stayed the same or is getting worse. Certainly, with the escalating violence in Baghdad, no reasonable person can think that the situation there has improved. To do so would be in total denial of reality. But then, I guess there are still a few Americans who continue to buy into the tripe the Bush Administration attempts to feed the public.

It's funny when the war started, 75% said the war was not a mistake. Even 2 years into the war, the approval rating was 53%. I think we Americans are too impatient, and think a war should only be as long as one season of American Idol. That's why the polling numbers are down. Unless you have already owned defeat, we should stand up and continue to fight this fight until we win.

I'm in the "I don't know" department. People use these polls to say that's how things are going there. But 100% of the people polled don't have a clue. According to the news, it's awful. According to many soldiers. It's improving. So I get the feeling more people than just George W. have duped the nation, and it's not only the Republicans.

where is the percent who admits they don't know? I think the statistics are so bad because bad news is all we hear, not that it's accurate, most of us don't have time to research it, but I think in the end the Iraqi people will be better off then they were under Saddam. I hope I am right. Many of us didn't agree with the start of the war, but I haven't heard of even the Iraqis themselves saying they are sad he is gone. I don't hear of how roads, schools, hospitals, and utilities are being built on the nightly news, or how things are going outside of Bagdag.(sp?) Let alone how Sunni, Shites, and Kurds are working out things, what the governments plans are.

According to the latest polls? What polls? You care to validate this by posting a link? That's what I thought. All talk and criticism with no proof to back it up. Besides, polls don't mean anything anyways. If they did, then both Al Gore and John Kerry would have won, but they didn't did they?

the American soldiers in Iraq would not agree with those polls. I have two friends over there who report that violence is down , re-building is going on and schools are open each day......your liberal media will never tell you this tho'.

Because only 1% of television explains the good that the American military is doing.
Just wait, just wait. We'll see what children thinking they're professionals do to America.
You'll see why the youth of today should not vote.
