I am currently taking a one credit hour Physical Education class that is getting in the way of my work and class schedule. I am also transferring to a better school but i am afraid that if I drop this class it will negativly affect how the college will look at me. Do you think dropping the class will have a negative affect on my transcript? Should i drop it or just suck it up?

Since it is only one credit it probably isn't that big of a deal. If your already accepted. Then it doesn't matter you can drop it. Like the other person mentioned if you drop it before the deadline it won't show up on the transcript. However, if its after you'll need permission to drop and it will show a W on the transcript. It would have been a bigger deal if it was 3 or 4 credits. Good Luck. They mostly look at completed course work and what your currently taking. Assuming PE is not your major then its not a big deal. Good Luck!

If you drop it prior to the cutoff date , it won't show up on your transcript. However, you have to be very close to the drop date, so don't wait. Once past the deadline, you need special permission to drop a class or it will stay on your record.
