If you've taken the pills properly and you're on your period, then there is no way that you're pregnant. Sometimes, periods are late, shorter, longer, lighter, heavier, etc. etc. Nature, enviroment, food, etc. can all cause your period to be different. I highly doubt you are pregnant based on what you described. Continue taking your pills or you WILL get pregnant.

Blood can seep into your urine and cause you to have a false positive test. Wait until the bleeding has stopped all together and then you can take one. Pregnancy tests detect HCG levels in urine. You usually can take one the first day after your missed period, however, in my case, the pregnancy test only detected it after 7 days. If bleeding has stopped by Friday, then take the test. If it is negative, resume your pills as this won't have any effect on the test. If you are on the pill, you're right, your chances are very slim--if you have been taking it as prescribed. A light period won't necessarily mean implantation bleeding but can...and with the pill, I don't think you are pregnant but anything is possible.

It is possible to get pregnant on the pill as i did after missing about 6 pills in one month! If you are having a bleed where your period is supposed to be then your probably not pregnant but worth taking a test just to check. If your body is already pregnant the birth control pills wont do anything as i was still taking mine thinking i wasnt pregnant. If you go to the doctor before you are due to tke the pills or a day or two after if you cant get an appointment then they can do a blood test which will be able to tell whether you are or not and they will also be able to advise whether to continue your pills or not. You could always phone nhs direct 0845 46 47 if you are in the uk and a nurse can phone you back an advise you.
Good luck xx

Hun, the pill is 99% safe. But still theres always that 1%.
The can stop working if you are taking antibiotics, you vomit, diarrhea, and sometimes when you are generally run down. Extra precautions is a must.
Its rare for someone to fall preg whilst on the pill.
When I was on the pill for 8 years, not all the time I was on time, either a day early or late, sometimes heavy for 3 days, and sometimes light for 2. I was never right! Especially if i missed a pill, that can make you late/early/light/heavy. Its also normal not to have a period, and to bled in between.
Implantation bleeding is generally very light spotting, brown/pinkish in colour, that lasts for two days, you also wouldn't need a towel or anything.
If you are worried do a preg in a weeks time, for better results. (first response is quite good).
Start your pills as you normally would on the Friday.
Im sure its all fine.

Neither bleeding or the pill will effect the results of a pregnancy test. Pregnancy tests measure a hormone in the urine which is not related to either of these things.
You should establish whether or not you are pregnant before you start your new pack of pills, so do a test today or tomorrow. It is not too early to test.

Take a test but I doubt your pregnant the pill causes your system to mess up often but i would do it to be sure if you have real cause for concern cause you dont wanna start the pill back up if your pregnant that can hurt the baby.

Pills won't affect the test. You can take an early response test now. Bleeding won't matter. Where there is pee, there is HGC.
