Usually it'll be on the front bezel it should say CD rewritable...
if it is missing then the next thing is just o pop in a rewritable CD and see if windows comes up with the cd burning wizard...
if not it may not be a rewritable CD.....

In My computer, Right click the cd drive and click properties. If there is a recording tab then it is a burner

CDs are a humorous lot, except they're virtually suited they are actually not likely to paintings o.k.. i don't use rewritables i'd quite purchase lesser costly CDs yet they're one use and if I screw one up I report it in 13 and purely start up over. workplace Depot sell their kind very lifelike like 50 for greater or less $10.00 that works out to approximately 20 cents apiece.

If the front panel cover of the CD player say CD-RW then its its CD writable

because the place where you insert the cd must to have the CD-Writable Drive logo

A. If it has 3 numbers like 52x12x24 or something. If there are only 2, it is a reader.
B. If it say r/w
