Can you change your name in NC without being divorced? If so how do you do it and how much is it?

Yes, you can legally change your name at any time, as long as you are not attempting to defraud anyone. I can't say for sure on the cost -- contact your local county clerk and ask the question. The clerk's office should be able to tell you what you need to do, as well.
