Anything you do in iTunes, and the processor load spikes to 100%. Check the store; grab podcasts (for the whole time it's downloading)...

This is on a Windows XP machine.

I run itunes on an XP system and have no issues with it. I don't monitor the CPU load, but I use it to play music in the background while I do my work.

Because apple stinks, and their software for windows is terrible... Buy a rio mp3 player and throw your iPod in someones exhaust pipe.
