Why not go onto the interview any way, and make up your mind AFTER that?

You say you got a job, what you got is an offer for a job. You can always refuse.

Right now you got what's known as "Got one bird in hand, is that other bird better? Do I risk losing this one in hand if I go for the other?"

If you are fine with this "Whataburger" outfit, then just inform this other company that "I regret to inform you that due to time constraints, I have chosen to pursue another opportunity. I regret on losing my chance to learn more about your offer, and I hope I would have a chance to know your company better in the future. Sincerely."

Else, go on the interview, and decide AFTER. It's debatable whether you should mention the offer or not in the interview. I can see the argument go either way.

I would go to the interview with the company that you really want to work for if that's in your best interest. Surely the company that called you for the interview will understand that you took another job and not hold it against you. I'm sure they would appreciate your honesty and work out a time with you for the interview if it conflicts with the hours you are currently working. If they really want you to come to work for them and they are a reputable company, then they should respect the fact that you might have to work out a notice with the new company that you just started working for(whataburger)...and I'm sure that whataburger would understand if it is a better position for you and would also appreciate a notice if you do in fact get the other job that you really want. As long as you are honest with both of them, then it is a win-win situation. And giving the notice would also give you a chance to possibly go back to your current job if need be in the future! Just don't be afraid to do what is best for you and you can do this while being honest and respectful of both employers. I'm sure both of them would appreciate and respect you back.

Go to the interview with the company you really want to work for. If they hire you then tell the first company that already hired you, thank you for the opportunity of working for them but another job better fitted for you has come along you are going to take. There is nothing wrong in doing what makes you happy. It is better than taking a job you will not be as happy working at and regretting a chance for what you really want.
Good Luck.

You take the interview. Never pass up an interview. Explain during your interview that you are already employed but are still very interested. That way if you get an offer then you can give two weeks. But you NEVER pass up an interview. It's not like you'd be the first person to ever quit whataburger after a few weeks.

Go for the interview for the other company and don't let them know about this whataburger job. Then, if they offer you a position, consider where you will have the greatest success and go from there. You have to think more about what YOU want and need rather than them.

you should tell them that you have secured a position with another company already but that you may be still interested in working for them if the salary and benefits package are comparable. it happened to me once and the other company raised my salary to get me on the team.

just go to the interview.

remember it is just an interview
you might not get anything

your problem only start if you get another offer
if not, there is no problem
