Hang on, It was stated that the BBC paid the fee to his agent and they weren`t sure if he knew he was being paid. That said he must have too much money if he doesn`t know who is paying him.
Don`t knock the bloke he does a good job and has made the programme so successful. He has stated he would work for nothing-----would you.

I am appalled at the money all celebrities get actually - well above their recognition - gets my blood boiling it does - and as for any celeb' doing a show like Children In Need etc., "yes they should not be offered a return of any description" - I would do it gladly for no re numeration.

I don't think he should be paid as it is all for charity but he don't get a lot of work now though does he..... Eurovision, a bit of radio and RND not a lot really so maybe he is struggling with his finances but after all the work the television companies have provided him over the years you would think he could donate one day a year!

He picks up exorbitant amounts of our licence fees plus all of his other management fees from god knows how many other celebs.
He should start the ball rolling by donating his fee plus a tidy sum on top and practise what he preaches

None of these stars on tv/radio should be getting paid as much as they do
Look at Fiona Phillips on GMTV she gets SOO MUCH money, and she's hardly ever at work, she gets most the week off,ALL kids school holidays, plus paid holidays inbetween..its scandalous

He says he thinks the BBC are wasting money and I think he's probably the biggest waste of money they have. How can he stand there year after year asking us to donate money when he is getting paid thousands of pounds for doing so?
