I am planning on getting a tubal when I have my baby. My question is how long do they make you stay in the hospital afterwards and how is it done? Anyone here have one? Only people with legit answers please THANK YOU

Yes I have had my tubes tied. If you have natural delivery they will actually have to cut you open for this to occur. If you have a c-section then it is a lot easier. You usually do not have to stay in the hospital longer unless you get an infection or develop a fever. The one thing some doctors forget to tell you is for the first five years you should also use another form of birth control. Some people have had the procedure and theirs have come undone and they have gotten pregnant. After 5 years the possibility become smaller each year their after. GOOD LUCK

I had my tubal ligation done at the same time as my c-section so it didn't increase my hospital stay at all. I went home 48 hours after giving birth.

i had this done wheni had my baby last year. i had a c-section so i had to stay in the hospital for 4 days. If you have the baby vaginally they usually keep you 2-4 days
