If you were staring at your newborn baby, and doctors told you that without a new heart valve she would not live very long, wouldn't you do anything to help her live?

The only thing that would help her is a donated heart valve from a baby who had passed away. Another parent would have to decide, amidst their grief and tragic loss, to donate the organs of the precious baby they just lost.

These are the two sides of organ donation - there are the donors, without whom life-saving surgeries couldn't happen...and there are the recipients, who may live better lives because someone was generous enough to donate life.
