I dont want to go get a history undergrad

It depends.

Did you minor in history? Did you take an awful lot of history courses, and not just introductory courses? If so, you could be a viable candidate.

Your best bet would be to contact the Director of Graduate Studies in each history department to which you hope to apply. They can tell you if they've ever admitted a non-history major, and they can also tell you what you'd need to do to become a viable candidate.

Most graduate programs will require at least a BA in the major before admitting you into an MA program. What are the requirements of the college/university to which you want to apply? That's the best way to get an answer -- ask the college admissions office! Most have websites where you can find your answer.
