Just remember, folks, when Noll left , a nobody named Cowher took the Steelers to the play-offs in his first season when everybody said they were dead without Noll. The Bungals better sell cookies in the off-season to raise bail money cause rumor has it they're goin' for the record of most arrests this year too, while the Ravens still don't have a QB or a running game & the defense is goin' down the drain too. Look for the Brownies to challenge either the Bungals or Ravens for second in the division behind the Steelers.

Way to early to tell. But what the heck here is my analysis anyway. By no means I am a steeler fan so here is my honest opinion. I am not sold on the Bengals or Ravens, and the Browns well they are the Browns. So it is possible of the Steelers winning the Division. Losing Porter will hurt but if they get lucky and draft a Timmons or Willis. Then the loss of Porter won't matter. They running game will be as good as the line holds up which isn't go to hold up for many more years. Alan Faneca can't pull to block an LB on a sweep forever. BTW Faneca best Guard ever. Big Ben needs to concentrate on football this offseason. Overall I think the Steelers will be decent. They are a middle of the pack team, like the Bengals, Chiefs, Jags, Broncos, and you could add Bills to that group next season. Luckly for them that division is up in the air. Bengals won't be as good as last season, Losing Steinbach will hurt. neither will the Ravens, aging defense, McNair getting older. Browns will improve but are still a few years away. Look for a 9-7 team winning that division which could be the Steelers.

Yes look for the Steelers to make an extreme bounce back this year. Mike Tomlin has said he is setting Ben Roethlisberger free, and is no longer just expecting him to manage the game. He has said he is wanting another RB, not to say he dosn't like Willy, but he feels good teams now have duel RB threats, and he is keeping the 3-4. These are all things...other then keeping the 3-4...that Cowher would have never done.

yea they will make the playoffs, and i have a question for every person who hates the steelers. i know the only reason everyone hates the steelers is because they are one of the biggest franchises in the nfl and that they won the super bowl about a year ago. but why doesnt everyone hate the cowboys and the colts? i mean the colts won the super bowl and the cowboys are probably the most popular team in the league because of their history. it seems to me that the steelers are the most hated team in the league. and it makes no sense why.

The Steelers did not make the playoffs last year and since then have lost one of their top defensive players and their coach. Perhaps they will be able to replace Porter, but having a first year coach in the place of a proven icon would indicate that they have only a very slight chance to make the playoffs.

As a Steeler's fan, I am wondering the same thing. Guess we will have to see. As for the Bungals, they will look worse than they have in three years. Mark my words, Cleveland might even put them back where they belong...last in the AFC North.

I doubt the Steelers will make the playoffs. They seem to be moving in the wrong direction. I believe they will fight the Browns for the bottom of the division.

The bengals and the Ravens will continue to move forward and fight for the division title. The Ravens need to find a quarterback for the future though or they will start to slide soon.

And the Steelers wear Black and Yellow. Like a Bumblebee!

One of the reasons people hate the team has to do with the fans, I've been to 18 different stadiums in the league and have not seen any fans who act worse than theirs towards the other fans. When they travel to other towns they are the rudest of any. Thats my take on why so many around here dislike the team...its their fans.

Of course they will. With Big Ben fully recovered and a young enthusiastic coach, they'll most likely be a wild card. Last year was a fluke. Ben was all jacked up from the motorcycle wreck, emergency appendectomy, and concussion. Plus, I don't think Cowher's heart was in it cause he knew he was gonna retire. If they get some good draft picks like Posluzny, Michael Bush, or maybe a good pass rush d-end, they'll be a playoff team. I have faith. Big Ben as Comeback Player of the Year, and Fast Willie as Super Bowl MVP.

With them losing a GREAT player like Joey Porter, I dont think they will make it to the playoffs. They dont even have a decent QB or WRs. Hines Ward cant do all the work and "Big Ben" is OVERRATED.

No they will not. The Bengals are going to be much better this year since Carson will definitaly be 100% and the Ravens are still going to be awesome. In my opinion Big Ben is the most over-rated player in the league. That team is built on defense and running the ball...and losing Joey Porter doesn't help, plus they don't really have anyone to back up Willie Parker which hurts. They'll finish 3rd in the division probably and miss the playoffs.
