Give me a break. Look J.Lew has 2,000 yards and a super bowl ring. His career is done with the ravens as far as I am concerned. He has nothing left to offer this team. McGahee on the other hand, has much to offer. He is young, tough and a good football player. He goes to the hole strong and is versatile. Will the real Ravens fans please stand up?

McGahee definitely, Lewis hasn't been the same since he went to jail. McGahee is still young enough and his legs are fresh to make an impact on any team. He only has a couple years of actually starting in the league and if he was on a decent team he easily would have been a 1500+ yd back. The Ravens give him that opportunity. It will come at a price though. McGahee will be far more expensive than Dillon or Lewis would be.

this is really a tough question because you won't know till we watch Willis McGahee play. He just got signed w/ the ravens today. Jamal Lewis is still good. I think the real problem is the ravens offensive line. They used to be the leagues best back in lewis' 2k yard season. But now it is not the same o line. They can't open up holes for lewis. Lewis is constantly running into dead ends sealed off by defenders. What makes lewis great is his ability to burst after getting past the line, he easily shrugs off defenders and breaks tackles after getting past the line. But now he cannot because the o line doesn't create holes for him like they did in the past. McGahee may suffer the same fate, unless McGahee is a back who has superior vision to see the tiny holes the ravens o line may or may not develop. If he has the vision, he may be able to run to the outside and get some yardage. If the ravens want to improve their run game, they might want to draft and sign some good o lineman. Now especially because the only good lineman they have, ogden, is contemplating retirement.
If you watch giants games or redskins games, you can see the lineman create gaping holes for their rbs to run through. Even the redskins 2nd string rb has fantastic seasons. Not to take anything away from the rb themselves, but the o line is a huge factor. If lewis went to a team like the broncos or giants, i am sure he has a chance to reach 2k yards again because those teams have some of the leagues best lines.
Lewis was our offense for so many years, it will be painful for me to watch him play for our rival cleveland. Even worse, if he becomes great again.

by far willis mcgahee because he is younger and has better rushing performance as of late... jamal is getting older and hasnt put up real good numbers since his 200 year.... the ravens has already cut him so i think willis is the man for the job... even though jamal was a very good player, he hasnt benn the same

Willis for sure. Lewis is hard to part with since his 2,000 yard season was so recent, but injury has just reduced him to a mediocre player. McGahee is in his prime and would flourish in the Ravens system.

Definitly not Corey Dillon. I would rather have Willis now but the Bills price may be to steep and he may hold out if he doesnt get the extension he wants so he would be more trouble than its worth. J.Lew is still one of my favorite Ravens but if he keeps holding out for more money I may have to rethink that. Jeese what more do you want from us Jamal? We gave you a boat load of money last year and you didnt deserve it. I am glad that the Ravens showed him some loyalty and has continued to do so but damn J.Lew how about returning the favor.

no brainer on this one. McGahee is a much better talent than Jamal. I know Jamal is still young, but he has been decreasing his yardage ever since that one good 2k year. McGahee is a great talent and still has his best years in front of him.

if it's between these two, i would go with the youth movement. jamal is becoming a injury-prone liability. you want someone who will be on the field for those twenty-five carries per game. corey's not ready for that at this stage of his career neither. fresh legs is the key and two of the three don't have them!
