Should the United States follow the environmentally excellent example of Saudi Arabia and ban women from driving cars? The rationale is that America has a long term energy problem and that to halve the number of drivers overnight would also halve gasoline consumption. America would be less reliant on imported oil and there would be a significant reaction in Carbon Dioxide emissions. Global warming would be reduced. All in all a highly desirable outcome? Obviously there would be a need for a little social adjustment, but so many journeys by women drivers are unnecessary anyway that it would only be a short term problem before these adjustments took place. I wonder why nobody has thought of this before. What do y’all think?

Yes, we should ban women drivers. People over 60 and under 18 also. Unemployed people should be added to that list ,as they have no need to drive anywhere since they don't have jobs. People with children should also be banned from driving; think of all the quality time parents will be able to spend with thier children now. And you should have to be a natural citizen of the country to drive in the country. Wow we made some real progress here today...LMAO.

If firms paid men enough to be able to afford to let their wifes stay home, they wouldn't need a car, and drive mens wages even higher because there would be a shortage in the countries workforce, therefore those available for work would be paid more.
See, these old fashion ideas were far better thought out than people give them credit.

The wine factor makes me disenchanted, yet i'm hoping that the flexibility of capitalism will hit their wallets and cause them to take care of all and sundry the two. The seeing eye canines factor.... I do exactly no longer see how this is even criminal. this is discrimination against a disabled individual that's a severe no-no. I doubt Allah (assuming he exists, which i do no longer) could be thrilled. Edit: and pay attention-pay attention on Mr. Penguin and the start administration factor. no longer something burns me up greater effective than being denied provider by way of fact i'm no longer the "good" faith.

Perhaps you should put your name forward for the up-coming Presidential elections

Running on this ticket I feel sure you would have a lot of supporters.
As to whether you would actually live long enough to see the outcome of the election, is another matter.

Go for is President Paddy.

I think America should ban stupidity!
You are either not married or I really feel for your saint of a wife who you are completely clueless and oblivious to what she does.

Sorry I don't have dinner ready honey, but since I didn't take that unnecesary trip to the grocery store to pick up some meat and potatoes . . .

Sorry hon, I will miss you , but you know since that trip to the drugstore to pick up your medications was unnecessary, there is not much I can do for you now.

Honey, you are going to have to come home from work to drive your kid to the ER- since I did not make that unecessary trip to WalMart to pick up that bike helmet, well . . . .

Good idea, but a better on would be to ban fat drivers.

This would encourage fat Americans (anything over 13 stone) to get off their lard a***s and do some exercise and diet, instead of driving a few hundred yards to buy a box of doughnuts.

The fat, ugly pigs.

Sounds wonderful. Then I can get some jackass to be my driver...oh, gee, that would mean there would still be the same number of vehicles on the road, wouldn't it?
Oh well, it was a nice thought anyways.
