I would avoid anything about the War, because there is already so much information and opinions about it.
Some of the items other than the War are:
Geography - Vietnam is one of the most beautiful places in the world. Some excellent slides to demonstrate this are photos of Ha Long Bay.
History - Vietnam is rich in history. Slides of Hue, to include; the Purple City, Nguyen Emperor temples. Slides of Hanoi to include; Hoan Kiem Lake, the Old Quarter, the French Opera House.
Religion - Hanoi has over 170 temples and pagodas, and photos of such would be prudent. Also photos of St. John's Cathedral in Hanoi and Notre Dame in Saigon would blow people's minds.
Economy - Vietnam's economy is exploding. Pictures of modern Saigon would set the tone for this information.
Society - Photos of Saigon along with those from small villages can depict the variety in the Vietnamese lifestyle.
I can go on and on, but this should be enough information to make your presentation very interesting.
